Emergency Lighting (Design, installation, verification and ongoing maintenance) to BS 5266-1 (2 Days)

This two-day course on BS 5266-1 covers design, installation, verification and ongoing maintenance of emergency lighting systems.

**As of April 2025 this course incorporates Part 1 and Part 2 of the Emergency Lighting courses into a new two day course.. Someone who has previously taken Part 1 and Part 2 does not need to complete this course. For those who have taken Part 1 and want to complete Part 2 we will be in touch to offer dates to complete Part 2**

 

  • Any engineer with a basic knowledge of safety systems who wants to improve their knowledge of the requirements and techniques to cover the design, installation, verification and ongoing maintenance of emergency lighting systems
  • Engineers who are responsible for emergency lighting systems wanting to be able to assess and demonstrate the suitability and condition of the system for a specific site
  • Should have an electrical background and knowledge of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems

At the end of the course an online Pass/Fail test is taken and an FIA digital certfcate is issued on passing the test.

 

  • Engineers will gain the knowledge and understanding to be able to provide advice on emergency lighting, design a lighting scheme and be able to install, verify and ongoing maintainence as required including also fault rectification and associated certification
  • Engineers will be able to audit an existing system, provide advice on routine maintenance and to carry out periodic and remedial servicing
  • Is accepted as part of the BAFE SP203-4 scheme.
