Fire Industry Manufacturers (FIM) Expo Portsmouth brought together some of the UK's top manufacturers to showcase the latest advancements across various industry sectors. The event brought together 25 exhibitors and over 160 delegates providing a platform for industry leaders to network and connect as well as offering delegates the chance to place orders with exhibitors and gather crucial information about market leading products.
This year's event coincided with an FIA conference, allowing attendees to not only explore the diverse array of products on display but also to gain invaluable knowledge and insights from key figures in the industry. The conference, running parallel to the exhibition featured keynote speakers such as Iain Bowker, Director at Ensure Safety and Compliance, Stew Adamson, Deputy Chief Fire Officer at Hampshire and Isle of Wight FRS and Robert Thilthorpe, Technical Manager at the FIA. In addition to this, the conference also included engaging panel discussions, focusing on lithium-ion battery fire issues with Panellists Craig Halford, Managing director at Jactone Products and Andy Speake, National Technical Manager at Aico. There was also a fire safety information discussion including Panellists David Murphy, Director at Imperium Fire Consultancy, Christiaan Wilde , Design Lead at KBS Maritime and Philip Bristow, Head of Landlord Compliance at Abri Group. All conference sessions were CPD certified, adding significant value to the attendees' professional development.
It was fantastic to see so many new and familiar faces with many local companies attending the event and buying into the premise of FIM Expo as a regional exhibition. FIM Expo Portsmouth was a excellent way to kick off our 2024 events.
The FIA would like to thank all who attended, especially all of our exhibitors, speakers and sponsors whose participation made it a successful event.
