London, 28th January, 2025: We are delighted to inform you that our new General Manager, Jason Thelwell, will be joining us on the 1st March.

Jason is currently a Senior Fire Engineer with Tetra Consulting Ltd, a position which has equipped him with the skills to understand the broader aspects of the fire sector.  He leaves there with only positive words to say about the Tetra team.

Before Tetra Consulting, Jason was the Chief Fire Officer of Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue service where he oversaw the strategic direction, performance, and governance of the organisation, ensuring that the service delivered high-quality and cost-effective services to protect the residents and businesses. Internally he was committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and diversity where staff and volunteers are valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential. These values will be a great asset to the FIA.

Also of great value will be his demonstrated skills and expertise in fire management, nonprofit organisations, and government, which is backed up with his credentials as a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers, a BSc in Fire Engineering Management and as a Chartered Manager (following an executive MBA).
