Our Board of Directors
We’re always looking for more FIA members to get involved with our groups; it’s your chance to help shape best practice and legislation in the UK and Europe. There are two types of FIA group:
Councils
Each Council is made up of 15 elected members representing small, medium, and larger FIA member companies. Members can nominate themselves; calls for nominations are included in Focus in September and elections take place at the AGM in November. Each seat is held for two years.
Working Groups
Some Councils manage a number of working groups (WGs) that focus on particular projects, activities or interests. Members can request to join these groups at any time of year. To join a WG simply email [email protected] with a copy of your CV. The application will be reviewed by the WG who will advise if you are accepted.

Meetings and documents relating to Councils and WGs can be seen in the FIA Groups section in the members area of the website »
